What a narcissistic prick...Who gives a shit how he thinks he helped or affected the scene in any way. Starts by talking about how he basically saved a life at a show - and then how sad the "decline" of Weir and Phil is to watch - Whatever Dude.

Fuck that guy. My tour partner from 20 years ago is a VA Psychologist today and he will straight up tell you it was touring that made him become a doctor. He was so fascinated by the biochemistry of the brain and capabilities after Summer '92 that he went straight into school that Fall. He loves it. You would never be able to tell in a million years either. We have openly talked about how those insane/insanely fun experiences on tour has helped him in his practice. I think the more living you do in your life the wiser you become - regardless. At any rate, my best friend of 24 years is a Deadhead Psychologist, and he is nothing like this asshole in this article.

Thanks for posting it tho beep - it got me

I won't bother to read the damn thing after reading you three have to say about it, but I did witness a life saved at a show once...been told here long ago, but: upperdeck, opposite stage at Winterland (I guess only one or two folks here know what I mean by experience?), in seats. Kid freaking out in behind us, making noise, running up and down toward balcony, which is a drop of 40 ft onto peeps below dancing and what not...Mrs Tell and I watch, transfixed as he runs past, far too fast to stop prior to railing, but at last second, huge burly biker type, sitting in balcony row, extends large trunk or I guess arm, out, just as kid hits his latitude, wrapping kid around the stump, folding him over for retrieval by followers, who unfold him from arm, and take him off...the guy hardly looked up or noticed. He just did it.

Was during space.
